California Christiania Republic (CCR) was founded by friends in 2010; but the concept has been manifesting for several years.

CCR is inspired by the free-spirited, laid-back California lifestyle and the free and open society of Freetown Christiania, an artist enclave near Copenhagen. The Danish-born, California-transplant and serial entrepreneur Tonny Sorensen conceived a fashion brand that was born to “Be Free..”.

Though worlds apart, both of these geographical locations represent a culture where creativity is free to flourish and unbridled artistic interpretation emerges in abundance.

Drawing influence from the mentality of these sister states, California Christiania Republic has created a fashion enterprise that aims to enhance the free expression of ideas while celebrating the spirit of personal freedom, spiritual liberty and self-actualization.

This philosophy and fresh styles like the CCR jumpsuit have created deep ties to the music industry. Working with artists such as Steven Tyler, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Ke$ha, and Willow Smith, CCR has transformed itself from a start up to the go to brand for carrying out the vision of artists, stylists, and designers.

Through music videos, stage performances, and behind the scenes photos from the recording studios and major tours, CCR has attained hundreds of millions of exposures. More importantly, CCR has positioned itself as a creative force in the industry with many more collaborations in the works.
